The Green Fund with its Board Decision No. 242.4/2022/29.06.2022 co-finances the LIFE PRIMED project (LIFE17 NAT/GR/000511) for the year 2022. The Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature, the coordinating beneficiary of the project and the Institute of Mediterranean Forest Ecosystems of the Hellenic Agricultural Organization “DEMETER”, partner of the project, will be granted funding in the frame of the “EUROPEAN PROGRAMME LIFE 2022” of Green Fund.

On 20th of May, it was a pleasure to inform 16 students from the Akdeniz University of Antalya about the project activities on the spot. We discussed about Natura 2000 Network, key stone species of the targeted priority habitats, nature based solutions and much more. The visit was organized in the framework of study visit in the area of Northern Greece regarding the forest management practices.

On 9-11 March 2022, a Natura 2000 networking event was organised at the Botanical Garden of Rome by LIFE PRIMED (LIFE17 NAT/GR/000511) to exchange good practices, forefront methods, lessons learned and results on the interpretation, conservation and management of EU Mediterranean temporary ponds (habitat 3170*).

The Green Fund with its Board Decision 212.4.3/2021/26.05.2021 co- finances the LIFE PRIMED project (LIFE17 NAT/GR/000511) for the year 2021. The Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature, the coordinating beneficiary of the project and the Institute of Mediterranean Forest Ecosystems of the Hellenic Agricultural Organization “DEMETER”, partner of the project, will be granted funding in the frame of the EUROPEAN PROGRAMME LIFE 2021 of Green Fund.
